I have a 10 year old GE side by side that I haven't used the ice maker on for about 5 years due to the pipes rotting out on the back. Just did a kitchen remodel and decided to replace all the pipes and fittings. Hooked up the water and water works on the front and I can get the ice maker to work if I do the following:

Unplug the fridge and plug it in then jump start the icemaker by pulling up on the forks to get it to cycle. Water will come on filling icemaker, it will freeze but not dump the ice.

I can get it to dump the ice by jump starting the cycle again but then it won't fill with water. I can keep jump starting the cycle but it won't fill with water unless I unplug/replug.

Perfect cubes after I get it to dump so I know the water pressure is good.

Any ideas?

Now it's blowing the breaker when I make it cycle. Is there a newer ice maker that will plug and play with my fridge?
