I've had to 'defrost' my frost-free freezer a few times now; the drain hole is clear - but the ice returns each time. What can I do?

Could this be caused by a bad seal on the Refridgerator door? The lower left corner of the door gasket doesn't even touch the metal; as a result, I can bend down and look right into the refridgerator.

Julie,
That could be part of it. The question is does the unit go thru a defrost cycle? Where is the ice building up?

The ice is forming on the coils behind the back panel in the freezer compartment and in between the fins.

I don't think it goes through a defrost cycle - but how would I know for sure?
