My Kenmore 80 Series gas dryer lights at first and runs for a few minutes, but then it goes out. When I turn it off, and then immediately try to turn it back on, the igniter glows, but then it fades out without the flame ever lighting. It continues to cycle like this - the igniter coming on then going off - without the flame coming on again. If I let it sit off for awhile (10 minutes or so) and then restart the cycle, I again get flame for a few minutes, but then it goes out, starting the process all over again.

Can anyone tell me what I should replace? Thanks in advance.

Replace the coils on the gas valve, and that should do it. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
