im not sure of the model # cause im at my day job right now....fixin appliances is my side job/hobby...the electrical part is my forte' so mechanical stuff takes a backseat sometimes...i have a washer right now...GE...that is working fine except the agitator is free spinning and doesnt agitate during the cycle...how do i change this thing?...i cant figure out on my own how to take the old one off and put on a new one...do i do it through the top or do i have to remove the tub and go from the bottom??...just wondering..if somebody could help id appreciate it...sorry about the typing!!

Depending on the exact model number, but most of the GE's just pull straight up.....watch your chin!! ;o) They can be very difficult. You will probably need the agitator bell. Nat
