The dishwasher stopped running water. I pulled off the connector to the water inlet valve and when the dishwasher was supposed to be filling, the voltage moved around from 6 vac to 12 volts vac. It didn't drift rapidly but it for sure was changing. I bailed water into it by hand to let it run through the cycles and suddenly the voltage was 125 vac. I reconnected it, and it ran to the end. I put the dish washer back in place and it seems to be working fine.
I really don't want to disassemble a working dishwasher to trace the wires. Any ideas where the voltage comes from on the solenoid?

Voltage comes from the control board. Note that it runs through the over fill swtch which is wired in series with the fill valve. |
