Hello
I have a old Whirlpool dryer that runns HOT!
Set it on low and still cooks the clothes
Not as Hot as High but still very hot
On high I am concerned about a fire!

Anyone have a drawing of the wiring or spare parts on this dryer?

Anyone know what the problem is?

(I have checked the vent and all is clear)

Thanks

Sounds like the high limit thermostat is bad, allowing the unit to over heat. Also check for lint buildup in the dryer itself.

Actually it will most likely be the operating thermost. Part # 694674. The operating thermostat controls the operating temperature, the high limit thermostat is for saftey. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
