On the electronic control assy. part number 8534866, the wire spade connector on the set labled CON2 burned off. The spade connector is marked with BK on the board, but has a brown wire connected to it. The damage to the wire is limited to area in the plastic connector. The burn damage on the back side of the board runs toward the middle black relay or circuit breaker. ( I think that is what they are). I would like to know if something other than a relay or circuit breaker failure could have cause this? :confused:I can replace the board, but do not want to burn the new one up.

The first thing I would do is check the power cord connection to the dishwasher for proper polarity. The black (hot) wire from the power cord must be connected to the black dishwasher wire and the white (neutral) wire from the power cord must be connected to the dishwasher white wire. Remove the bottom panel, open the junction box under the dishwasher and check the wires. The fix the burned wire to the control board and replace the control board.

- The part number for the control board is AP3775964
