I have bought a new electronic spark module.
It is not obvious how to remove the top. It would appear that the gas venturi should unscrew from the burner base.
My concern is that I'm not sure what holds the gas assembly together below the top and I do not want to screw things up.
Any advice would be appreciated

You're correct regarding the
venturi
screws being removed. Once that's done the knobs will need to be removed and you'll be able to lift the maintop up enough to reach under and unplug the electrodes and light. Once those are all unhooked the maintop will lift up. There's nothing that's going to fall apart or separate when the maintop is lifted.

I recommend using some anti
seize
grease on the
venturis
when screwing them back into the jet holder assemblies to prevent them from
seizing
in the future.
