The microwave is an above-range model, model no. MM0166. It does not heat, though the timer and clock work, and the microwave appears to work, the unit accepts inputs, counts down and has lights and sounds as though it is working, but it does not heat anything in it. I would just get a countertop model to make due, but counter space is very limited. I may wind up doing that anyway, or doing without for a while. Any help or information is appreciated, especially where a product manual for the model might be located. Thanks.

Magnetron tube. To check it you must only use an ohm meter to see if it has continuity. It is also a possibilty that your capacitor is open. If it is open then power will not be transferred from the high voltage transformer to the magnetron via that capacitor and that diode. Would it be the diode? hard to say.The diode should read in one direction only. If it does not then it is bad. I think it may be either a fuse mounted on the mag or the capacitor. Also make sure the mag is not grounded from one of its spades to mag body and it has continuity between the 2 spades . All items must be checked for continuity with one wire removed to prevent a back feed(false reading).:D

Any recommendations?
