I have a GE washer that shuts off in mid-cycle in inexplicably. I have to press the start switch several times to get it going, then it will run for a while, then shut off.

If this is the controls unit, is there a way to test it B4 buying a new one

I would check the lid switch and clean and reseat the connections to the control, but if that does not fix things try replacing the control.

If you purchase from this site and the part does not fix the problem you can return it. See the returns policy for details and requirements.
