I recently had a stacked washer dryer start leaking between the splash tub and the transmission. Cannot separate the tub and the spin tub to correct this. All bolts have been removed but it won't separate. Any suggestions short of replacing the entire machine would be appreciated!

If you see dirty water leaking above the tranny, this confirms a bad tub seal.
If so, you can go to web site www.applianceaid.com for info. You can try penetrating oil on the tub screw holes and with a piece of wood pound on the side of the spin basket to break it free.
