wall oven wont heat up . the igniter lites but thats it

Barbara,

You probably have a weak igniter,

I could be more helpful, with a model number of the unit.

The igniter not only glows, it has to produce a certain amount of voltage and resistance in order to open the gas valve and release the gas, to achieve a flame.
