I had Sears Repair to come to my home to reapir my refrigerator and they changed the motherboard which is slightly different from the orignal one. Now my compressor doesn't come on. Dose anyone have the instrucions on how to install the new motherboard?

Did the technician, not leave the instruction sheet there with the old part ? I would reccomend you call Sears Repair, and have them come back and make it right. Maybe one of the other forum members has access ? You may want to wait and see if you get another response. :cool: :cool: :cool:

GE has changed this several times and yes it is going to look different and may not even have the same amount of plugs as the old one. The only thing that could cause this problem just by changing the board is that whoever installed it failed to cut the jumper wire on the J1 connector. This will not cause the compressor not to run at all but it will cause it not to cool, as it should (the compressor may cut off to soon). This jumper wire should only be cut on cretin models and the installation instructions tell you which models this applies to. If the service tech installed it incorrectly then he should come back free of charge. If not he may have misdiagnosed the problem to begin with.
