The heating element appears to be getting to hot and melting the spray arm and other plastic. Suspect the problem to be the thermistat. I am interested in your diagnosis. Al

Al, Replace the thermostat and check the heating element for possible short to the ground. If it would not help, replace the control board. - The thermostat Part number: AP2109201
