 I was replacing the top wash assembly and dropped one of the screws into the bottom of the dishwasher. I can't see the screw and I don't know how to retrieve it. I don't even know if it's safe to operate the dishwasher, unless I can find and remove the screw. Can anyone help me out?

use a pin magnet and go around the pump assembly to try to retrieve the screw. If that doesn't work you will have to start tearing into it to locate it, if the screw gets into the pump it could mess it up. Nat

Thanks for the idea! I was able to retrieve the screw with the magnet, even though it was stainless. The magnet was able to secure the screw well enough to allow me to drag it out of the drain.
