My dryer makes a clicking sound and the front panel lights up as it should, but the sensing light stays on and it just stops. It will not turn or dry at all. I have tried to enter test mode to get an error code, but get no response to the routine that is supposed to let me into test mode. Please help.

Thanks Gene. I was wrong. I got into the diagnostic mode and it passed all tests with giving any error code. Should I try to do the technician stuff in later tests? I will need to borrow the ohm meter or whatever it is to get this done. Originally Posted by: Gene

Gene. I have tried step 4 and the ohm meter shows infinity at p2 on the control board. I took the toe panel off and am trying to test the resistance on the cables, but I CANNOT disconnect the sensor from the wire harness to test it. I have used pliers and tried to the pull them apart. What is the trick?

According to the instructions, if the result of the test was infinity, you have to measure the resistance between pins 1 and 2 of the connector P2 on the machine control board. You don't have to go to the wire harness and the moister sensor. In such situation I believe the problem is a bad machine control electronics. - The electronic control Part number: AP3604453
