I am replacing the overload/ptc on my refrigerator and it has 2 wires attached to it, one orange one black. The original part is marked with an L and an N.

The problem i have is the new part is inverted, not marked, and the positions for the wires are in different spots.

I purchased it from this site.

Thank you in advance for any and all help.

The new part should plug right into the compressor terminals and the old run capacitor must plug into this device. The input wires can be either way. Not polarity sensitive.
You will need a 1000 joule surge protector on this fridg. to protect this start device from blowing again. The use of a WR07X10055 is far superior, but requires a meter to install and the old klixon overload device.
