I recently purchased a new house, and the Kitchen Aid Microwave does not work properly. The microwave cooks and the push style buttons work as needed, but it has a touch screen to access other options and the touch screen does not work at all. It lights up and shows the options, but when you push the screen it does not work. I unplugged the unit for approximately 2 minutes and plugged back in....when the screen lit up its says the following:
TOUCHERROR Y High Pass 255 237 Y HiLo Pass 255 0 Y Low Fail 171 0
X High Pass 255 254 X HiLo Pass 255 0 X Low Pass 2 0
Does any one know any problems/issues and ways to fix the problem?

I have the same problem. Replaced #6 cntrl-elec board and humidity sensor. In service mode it shows no errors. Did I recieve a faulty new board? Strange thing, when entering into service mode the am/pm portion of the touch screen function works. I have left the unit unpugged for days and get the same results.

How do you enter service mode?
