The lid switch on my Kenmore top loading washer broke when a rug was on the spin cycle. How do I replace the switch?

Get the correct switch, Remove the Cabinet and replace the switch,

can you post the other numbers to the left of the model number posted(110 or 417, etc). If there are no small children you might also be able to bypass the switch.

Just to ad my 2 cents...

Here are the complete instructions on how to remove the washer cabinet.

- The part number for the lid switch is AP3094500
