Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 9/15/2008(UTC) Posts: 2		This Kitchenaid Ref w/ Whirlpool Ice Mkr was working fine. Just stopped. Call for tech support and get brick wall of assistance from nice folks there. I have not been able to get my hands on a wiring diagram. 1st Source has none. Cant find one on machine. There is no voltage between L & N when plugged in. 120 V between blk & wht pins when unplugged. Looks to me like a bad connection somewhere in the cabinet wireing. I am about ready to punt. There is a thermo fuse in the black wire on the ice maker harness. If the ice maker heater gets to hot the fuse blows. You will need a new ice maker if that is the case. Open the freezer door, press in the emitter flapper door (on the left side) to unblock the optics beam and view the diagnostics "status" LED on the right side. If it flashes then the optic boards have to be replaced. - The part number for the optic boards kit is AP3137510 Gene.
