I'm thinking I need to replace the control assembly based on the issues my top loader is having. Please let me know if you agree.

1. It fills and then shuts off
2. Sometimes it won't go past the wash/spin cycle to the rinse cycle and just shuts off.
3. Works most of the time on the normal/fast wash cycle, but not so much for the normal/slow, gentle/fast or gentle/slow. In these other speeds, it makes a clicking noise in between switching from fast or slow...kinda like it can't make up it's mind.
4. Lastly, the spin cycle sometimes goes awry. It'll spin slow and then when it goes into the faster spin (click noise) it drops back into slow again. This scenario continues until the spin time is up.
5. Oh, one more thing. Sometimes even pushing the start/stop button puts this machine into a dilemma. Should I start (starts), or was that finger meaning stop (stops)?

The rest of the mechanics work perfectly when it understands what it's supposed to do. All three load sizes work fine too.

Thanks for your reply in advance!

Since it will perform mechanically ok I think you are correct in your diagnosis. Replace the control module and see if that fixes things.

If you order from this site and the part does not repair your machine you may be able to return it. See the returns policy.
