I had frost on the freezer back panel and the refrigerator was not cooling enough. Had a pro come take a look at it and he replaced the mother board. He recommended to leave the doors open to melt the frost and then restart. The fridge seemed to work fine for about a month and now the problem is back.... Frost on the back wall and fridge not cooling at all.

There are four things that could cause this, main board, evaporator thermistor, defrost thermostat and the heater.

The heater and the thermistor are the most common. My guess is the thermistor because the heater is very easy to check and the pro wouldn’t have missed that being bad (unless something odd is going on). This page will explain how to diagnose this problem GE Refrigerator Repair Guide

I am not going to say you have a bad tech but the job isn’t complete until the ice is melted he should have done it to be sure all the ice was gone.

Actually we also experienced that problem on our refrigerator because we are selling an ice. So, the ice stock to the back panel of our refrigerator. What we do is to open the door of the refrigerator so that the ice will melt. But remember to unplug the socket of your refrigerator.
