I think you need to open the back of your refrigerator. There is a water drain hole around the left hand corner. Then see if the hot water was dripping off. Good luck!

Sounds like you did not get the drain totally clean.
Check for dust etc. slowing down the water flow at the drip tray end.
Check that the drip area in the freezer is clean. If there is dirt/crud it can slow down the draining and then the drain hole can freeze over.
Flush the drain tube with a 10% bleach solution. Letting it sit for 10 minutes or so before doing it again. This should kill any crud growing on the inside of the tubing and then you may be able to flush it out. A turkey baster comes in handy here.
Try flushing with hot water.
Just be sure to wear old clothes and also check often to make sure you do not over flow the drip tray.
Alternatively you could replace the drain tube depending where it is. |

Could be the funnel like assembly the drain hose is attached to is cracked or perhaps the drain tube is not securely fastened to it. |

I fixed a lot of these problems. Recently, I used a turkey baster to force hot water down the drain repeatably, but the drain was still slow. I shoved a thin wire down the drain and found a "mushy" spot, apparently a dirt clog. I then jammed the turkey baster all the way in till it sealed against the rubber drain, then squeezed the bulb several times and the dirt clog cleared. This saved a lot of time as I was getting ready to pull the drain hose to clean it!
