Older model Maytag won't fill. Find that 1 amp fuse inside panel blows. Works fine after replacing fuse. Fuse is wired to/from ? the Infinite Water Level Switch. Problem seems to happen after making adjustment to this switch when doing smaller loads (medium setting or less). Is the switch bad or is there some other more common problem? Are there other conditions which may blow this fuse? Serial number is 105952 DD. Thank you for any tips on this....TDBFIXIT

Hi,
I would check the two lid switchs that are next to that fuse.

You will need an ohms meter to check the two lid switches. They must be positioned to prevent blowing the fuse.

Thanks...Appliancejunk also directed me to check this. I do have a VOM. They both appear to be turning on/off depending on the lid plunger position. Any tips on alignment of the mounting block. I notice the screw and slide adjustment. Thanks
