When oven is off for 2 or 3 days then you open it there is a gas smell. Is all gas connections checked with soap and water. None found. Could it be the Valve? Igniter is 1 year old. No smell when oven is on and it lights very well.

Thanks

Tony,

The first thing I would do is call a local gas company to pinpoint a gas leak. They have very good leak detectors and this service is free of charge.

Gene,

I'm worried about if I do that they "red tag" the service and shut the gas off in the house?

Not necessary they'll do it and what other choice do you have?
