I have a vintage Kenmore Range from the 1930's which had a rather unfortunate accident with a large pan of ham glaze. I have been able to disassemble the door to clean but think that it would be best to replace the insulation.

I cannot find a source for replacement insulation....any ideas where I can get some? Unfortunately Sears is little help as they don't have parts manuals that go back that far.

Thanks

Try to find an old technician who can try to match up the old part.

Perhaps you could refer me to the website for retired appliance technicians. I haven't been able to find them in the yellow pages.:)

I a retired technician that would have worked on a 1930's appliance would most likely be dead by now.

Anyone else have any realistic sources for oven door insulation?
