Would like to jumper out temp control to see if this is problem. What wires should I cross? Thanks

Probably not your problem, but if you tap on it if compressor stops running, yes it is. I would check for an overheating compressor or a intermittent evaporator/condenser fan. Just click on your model # for parts.
