I went to turn on my washer this morning. I heard the water start up then everything stopped. I checked the plug and it was working. I also checked the knob on the lid and that is working. My dryer is running fine. I read somewhere that a computer can malfunction inside the dryer. The serial number is 15275960SF

Check you lid switch pictured here... Model LAT9416AAE section 5, item# 31 Looks like there is a fuse in there. Check the fuse and see if it is good or not

Is That fuse located in the console. Not sure how to get at it.

Nothing in that back panel looks like that part. There is a large box that connects to the switch dial, a box that connects to the water temp and a box that connects to the water level. I took a photo of the back panel that I can send you.

This part wont be in the back panel, this is under the top of the cabinet. You should see a plastic piece on the lid, and when you shut the lid that plastic probe thing goes into the switch assy and activates the switch.

I know what you are talking about. It is what activates the washer when you close the lid. That piece is accessible in the console as well but the whole box is made of white plastic instead of what looks like metal in the photo that you sent me. Do I pop that box out or somehow open it to get to the fuse?
I know this is probably a simple fix and I am inexperienced in the ways of appliances so it is frustrating. I will give it one more shot, with your help, otherwise I will call in for service. Besides, I really want to impress my husband that I could fix the washer!

Yes, if indeed you the part your looking at is the part I showed you, then pop it open, should be some tabs, pop it open and check the fuse.
