My wife was drying tennis shoes and when she restarted the dryer one of the shoes was wedged between the drum and door, so that the drum wouldn't turn. It made a errrrrrr noise and stopped and now won't start. Lights come on, but we only get a beep and a click. Turned off, also unplugged it. Somewhere in here Ive seen diagnostic test, How do I do that?

Once you take off the linty filter housing, it will expose to parts, that sit on the front vent tube, the one on the left of the 2 parts, should be white in color, and have 2 wires coming to it. Take the 2 wires off, and put the terminal ends together, and put some tape around them to keep them together, and so they don't hit metal, and then plug the dryer in, and see if it works. If so, replace the part, do not run the dryer that way, it is the only thing that stops the dryer from burning down the house. That part is called a thermal fuse. Let me know how it goes. GEW9200LW1 Whirlpool Electric dryer. I have checked and verified GOOD continuity on following: Door switch, thermostat AND high limit, and the thermal fuse. Ran diagnostics routine which returned an E3 Error code
