My Maytag Performa dryer stopped during a drying cycle and will not restart. When you turn on the timer you can hear it ticking, but it makes no sound when you push it in to restart. The tub will spin by hand and it is not the breaker or the plug. Any thoughts? Jimmy

You will need a meter to check things. Check your thermal fuze on the blower housing, check for 240 volts to the dryer pigtail connection, then timer contacts.
