My ice maker stopped working completely so I ordered a new one thinking that removal and replacement would be a snap. Installed the icemaker in a snap. Also replaced the water valve which took a little bit longer. Now the problem: The ice maker fills with water and even starts to ice up within an hour. However, in cheking again the ice is not harvested but the storage basket is filled with water. There is no indication that the icemaker ever attempted a harvest. I have checked and rechecked to make sure the ice maker electrical plug is in firmly and that the wiring is not interfering with the icemaker. Also that the filler tube is installed correctly. Of course the wiring is between the icemaker and the freezer wall. I do not know what else to do! Please advise. Sincerely, Frustrated.
