We had water get into our basement in June. I didnt reliaze that water had gotten into the tray on the bottom that held the circuit board.

When plugged in the unit would trip the GFI. I looked under it to find the board. I've tried drying it out and it only turns on the freezer light. Refrig side doesnt come on.

I'm curious if I'm wasting my time buying a board? Could I have compressor damage as a result of this board being wet?

Any help would be apprecaited.

It is possible if the compressor was trying to kick on and wasint getting enough power. Review some of the other postings, there is one that gives details on testing a compressor (just so I don't have to type it all back out), but it's probably the inverter board (241577501) would be my guess.
