The oven on my 9 yr old Super Capacity 465 Whirlpool oven (sf385peeq0) suddenly stopped working. I had this issue about 4 years ago, replaced the ignitor and had no issues. When it went out this time, I ordered another ignitor and replaced. This time the new ignitor failed to fix the problem. There are no error messages. The broiler, stove top, and all other functional aspects of the appliance appear to be in good working order. Can you provide next trouble shooting step? Many thanks for any advice you could provide.

Make sure the new ignitor is parallel to the burner and close enough for the spark to ignite the gas. You may also want to double check the new ignitor with an ohm meter to make sure it's not defective. If it test good and glowing hot then you may want to try one of Gen's remedies which seems to work... using a small drill bit one size larger than the existing hols drill a series of holes below the line of holes on the burner. I will try to post a picture for you (unless Gene can pop on and post it!) Hope that helps some Nat
