Got a whirlpool it cools and freezes great about twice a month it will start waming up a can here a clicking sound about every minute.If i unplug it for 10 minutes or so a plug it back in its starts to cool again.Does this sound like the defrost timer and where is it located.

Your defrost timer is located in the control panel on the ceiling of the fresh food compartment. Where is the clicking noise coming from, the control panel, back of machine, freezer compartment ? It could very easily be a bad timer, but there are other possibilities. The location of the noise could determine other things to check. :cool:
