Have a kenmore washer 90 series that agitates very well but spins very slow on spin cycle. Just curious what would be the culprit and if its worth the trouble to fix it. The washer is almost 12 years old.
Thanks, Vince

Thanks, Vince Vince, Could you please varify the model number, I could not find that model in the Sears web sight, we use, and the closest matching model has no parts available any longer. I was thinking you need a new set of spin hub brake shoes, but cannot varify that.

Thanks, Vince I looked it up and your model number does work. I would be looking at the clutch Part number: 285785
Which is part no. AP3094537 here. The clutches wear down and then they don't have enough gripping power to spin up the tub. A lot of the time the top of the gearcase will have clutch pad dust all over it, which is a good sign the clutch is worn out.
