My Maytag dishwasher is 5-6 years old. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I found out that the circuit board is starting to go. It will cost $235 to fix. Should I fix it or buy a new one, since it is almost 6 years old?

thanks

That's a personal call.... but your control board is only about $110 from this site part number AP3158621.
It's something you could probably do yourself. (unless you prefer a new one )
