Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 8/19/2008(UTC) Posts: 3		i just bought a new defroster and unfortunately bought the wrong one, of course tho i bought the more expensive one rather than the cheaper one. will this create a problem and when they are working how hot do these get. i have replaced the timer and now the heater so i am hoping this solves my problems thanks for the help dennis

If you can locate the tech manual for your fridge which should be located somewhere on the frame, either taped or screwed on, you can see what the original heater resistance was we could probably find the info for you

These heaters do not get hot like an oven element would. It will burn you if you touch it, but wont glow red. I'm sure your fine.
