The refrigerator has started making a clanking noise very regularly when the compressor is running. It sounds like a fan hitting something and appears to come from the black globe that I am guessing is the compressor.
The compressor is quite hot, but I don't know if this is normal. fridge seems to run more than normal, but this may just be because it is louder.

I'm sure this is a common problem. Anyone have ideas?
Thank you
Gary

Gary,

Sounds like the compressor is dying. There is nothing what can be done to prevent or stop it.

Gene.
