I am preparing to order a new dual water valve assy (GE #WR57X10051, AppliancePartsPro #AP3672839) and have a question concerning the connection of my copper water line to the valve. My old part has 3/4 in. male threads to which a copper cap screws on. This copper cap has a 90 degree elbow which the 1/4 in. copper water line connects thru a compression fitting. How does the water line connect to the new part? In the picture of the part is that a blue cap over the threads or ? I understand that there is a new connection method of the 2 small water lines which go to the ice maker and water dispenser in the door, but how does the water line connect to the valve? I am attaching a picture of my old part which may help. Your help will be greatly appeciated. Thank you.

You wont use that big brass adapter, just the copper line with the end on it, also you will need to cut both lines that have the thread nuts on them as the new valve only has push to lock style connections.

Wow, that was fast! Thank you for the help. I'm normally pretty mechanically adept, but could not see how the water line connects. Customer assistance could not explain either. In the attached picture of the new part you can see that its in unclear how the water line attaches. It almost appears that there is a large blue cap over the section that the water line would normally attach to. Thanks again for your help.

The water line connect to the other side that is not shown, can't miss it when you have it in your hand.
