Our door stopped engaging about a year ago so we simply stopped using the unit. It sat for a year unused with the door open plugged in. I noticed during that time the control panel stopped lighting up. I took the door panel off and looked at the start switch/latch. While doing so I made a spark by touching the door panel to one of the contacts on the switch, woops rookie move. Recently I bought a new door latch/switch and installed it. Lights immediately came on EXCEPT for the start button. I thought I fixed the problem but no start. I tried putting alcohol on, and toothbrushing the end of the ribbon tape that connects to the board. No luck. Now the panel is back to NO lights at all. I also tried letting the unit sit unplugged for an hour to reset. Thanks for your help in advance.
