The oven ignitor and valve are newly replaced on our LP gas oven. Now the flame is too high and it smells like unburned fuel when I turn on the oven. The flame is blue with yellow tips.

Did you change the regulator from natural gas to lp?

Thanks for the reply abadfish66,

All we replaced were the safety valve and ignitor. The regulator was changed to LP when we first purchased the stove years ago.

According to the schematic, the control regulator is something separate.
