I replaced the timer on my GE dryer but neglected to mark where one wire went. It is the wire that goes from Terminal "D" (which had to be moved from my existing timer to the new timer) to the opposite corner through a rectangular beige box. I know it goes to either the first or second contact from the top but I don't want to blow it up by putting in on the wrong place. Can you give me any guidance?

If you have the schematic it will tell you exactly where that wire goes. If you can't understand the schematic, then look at your old timer.....the connectors where the wires were should have distict scratch marks or other tale tale signs.
Hope that helps
