OK back in May I noticed my machine would make a loud banging/knocking noise when it would go into a spin cycle then a few weeks later it would not spin without my helping it get started. My husband took the machine completely apart but found nothing. Cleaned it up put it back together. The machine did begin to spin again but the loud noise it made when going into the spin cycle was still there. Yesterday when I was using the machine I looked down and saw yellow/clear oily fluid on the floor. It was working fine but after seeing the fluid I decided not to use it any more. Is this thing junk or do you think it is repairable? Years ago when I called for repairs they charged me 125.00 and my machine was still broke when they left. I hope I have given enough information for some ideas. Thanks in advance. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

That yellow oily stuff is probably from your transmission. Which would need replaced (part #AP3096209) It is repairable but your might also need other parts like the basket drive part # AP2905773
Is is cost effective? you can buy a used washer for probably less, or pay about half on a new one for the cost.
Hope that helps you.
