Refrigerator not cooling, had tech in to repair, he added freon, lasted a few months and now not working again. Can this be repaired or should I be looking for a new fridge

The problem with adding freon to a refrigerator without fixing the leak, is the freon will leak out again. Probably its time for a new refrig.
