Some of the selections on the touchpad only work occasionally. Specifically the following items: Pre-heat, Keep Warm, and the following numbers 4,5 & 6. I can remove the touchpad panel and re-install it and sometimes it will work and other times it will not. If it does work, it may work for a day or it may work for a week or two. Is this an item that can be diagnosed and repaired or does it need to be replaced.

Frigidaire Model PLES389ECB - Part Nr. 318313825( I believe it was replaced with the identical part, but the new part number now is 318313830)

Most likely the problem is a bad control panel which has to be replaced.

The part# 318313830 is Appliance Parts Pros part number AP3951016

Thank you for your help. Will order the new part. Other than cutting the power and swapping out all the connections are there any other precautions to consider?

Not much. Just do one connection at a time and label wires if needed.
