Machine quit with a half-full tub of water. As timer goes through it's progress, machine will fill, solenoids cycle, motor never starts. Note, when motor is wired direct to power, it does run, so the motor is OK. Any help appreciated!!
Thanks,
Steve

Check the lid switch, make sure the little plastic probe on the lid is engaging the lid switch.

I'll check it, but suspect that the lid switch is OK--lifting the lid in the spin cycle causes the spin clutch solenoid to cycle! It never used to stop the motor on this model.

This is a really old washer. They had a lot of trouble with timers on these. Remove timer cover and check switches for burnt marks
