I was hooking up a wire power cable to a washer that previously had a 3 wire power cable. In the process I accidentally put a hot(black) wire on the neutral terminal which sent a pulse of electricity surging down the dryer and burnt the lint hose off the wall. After consulting google I wired it correctly (Red, Black hot on outside terminals, white neutral on middle terminal and green ground on frame screw.) Now I know the dryer is getting electricity because it is wired correctly and the light inside is coming on, but the control panel (which is all digital) shows no signs of life. Is there a fuse I can replace or do I just need to buy a new dryer?

Most likely the control board is gone bad. For more accurate advise we need the complete model number of the dryer.
Gene.

The part number for the control board is AP3841286 but there is a chance that some more parts are damaged too. You can find it only after the control board replaced. Gene.
