My modular ice maker is dripping on the bottom, towards the front, between the module housing and the tray. I just replaced the double fill valve on the back of the fridge, thinking that might be the problem, but it still leaks. I have checked the water inlet tube in the freezer and it is not frozen and seems to be dispensing water properly. I watched the icemaker cycle through as it released the ice from the tray and then re-filled the tray with water. It is not over-filling the tray. Then, the dripping starts and continues until the cubes begin to freeze. I've seen a couple of threads on other forums where other people seemed to be having this problem and the suggestion was made to put a bead of "food safe" silicone between the module and tray to stop the leak. Does this sound like the best thing to do in my case? Do I need to take the module housing off before applying the silicone? I'd prefer not to buy a new ice maker, but does anyone have any other suggestions.
