It has to be done while the body of it is cold. If the circuit is open then replace it. If the circuit is closed then splice it back using a wire nuts and replace the adaptive defrost control. - The part number for the defrost bi-metal is AP4299920 - The part number for the adaptive defrost control is AP3109394 Gene.
