I have something under the agitator and need to remove the agitator to get it out. I took the cap off the top of the agitator and there is a bolt there which I cannot get to move at all. Is there a secret tool or is there another way to life the agitator out so I can remove the piece of clothing that is wrapped around underneath?

i have a GE G-162 washer, i had a shirt really jammed under the agitator, i had to remove the small lid on top with a small Flathead screwdriver. there's a bolt under there but it's a little hard to see with all the rust, clean it off with a wire brush or a old tooth brush you may have laying around, use a #5 allen wrench, from there grab the bottom of agitator (where clothes are stuck) and keep pulling up hard, and i mean hard, it may take you at least 5 -10 pulles before it comes free. it's easy to snap back on and like new after you free the offending clothing. I'm and idiot not mechanical type so if i can figure this out anyone else can do it. :)
